Let’s Get Our High School District Back On Track

Academic excellence and financial stability are two pillars of a great school district. Unfortunately, the San Mateo Union High School District has been plagued by fiscal mismanagement and poor construction oversight, which in turn has hurt the classroom. With my expertise in school finance, business and law, I have the skills and background to help improve the fiscal health of the District and make sure the District’s construction projects are managed responsibly and within budget.

My Priorities for the High School District

• Improve fiscal oversight to ensure that our schools are never again financially compromised.
• Attract and retain the best teachers and increase opportunities for teacher collaboration and training.
• Effectively serve our diverse student population by expanding vocational training, technology and science offerings, and foreign language opportunities.
• Improve communication and collaboration between all stakeholders in the school community and rebuild the public’s trust in our high school district.
• Work to close the achievement gap and serve the needs of special education students.
